Zyte prepares for Germany

Written by Team Zyte at 21:34 14/6-2009

The Team Zyte roster has recently been preparing for the most important event of the season - Germany Tour. The sponsors want the team to be visible on all stages, meaning that team manager Nick Lissner couldn't focus on the General Classification alone. Instead, Kenny Haakon surprisingly filled up the last spot on the team as an attempt to compete on the flat stages. Along with him, the strong Slovak Demeter Sabik is also on the team in order to help Haakon in the sprints.

The general aim is however still the same: The team is going for the overall win. Previously, Äme Anderberg claimed the victory twice and could be expected to be the captain again, but as he finished 6th last season, it's now time for a promised comeback to the old star Arnold Schurman.

"Arnold [Schurman] is perfect for a tour like this. He hasn't had the captain role for years now, but he is ready for it", says team manager Nick Lissner.

Arnold Schurman will get the best support in the mountains he could possibly imagine as Äme Anderberg will be supporting him all the way through.

Even though it's unknown how far Arnold Schurman can go, the expectations are still high as every season. If he fails, Äme Anderberg is as always ready to take over the role as captain.

Trash talk from FFL? I like it!

FFL at 22:20 15/6-2009
I'm glad to see Schuman captain the team...I'd like a strong climber, TTer to win instead of a pure climber...I had my big hope that I could do that with Koch, but he maxed out at 41Av for me :(
Has given me the chance to get my sprint team sorted...Lannoye will have a much better lead out than Haakon :-)

  Good luck!
